To the first of many best friends of my life
That spring summer day on the school bus on our way back home, I decided that you were going to be my best friend. It was 2nd grade back in 1986–87 and you were the kindest soul with the most sincere eyes. Also, you had like 10 brothers or sisters (I really lost count) and there was definitely not as many toys with you as with me (being the only child in contrast) but you seemed to be content and at peace with yourself and your surroundings.
We went separate ways after that but then got reunited in college but I was too distracted by everything (especially girls who would not talk to me). Also the internet was just blowing me away (again with chat rooms with girls who would not talk to me).
I wish I had talked to you more and just hung out — It was so easy to hang out with you and that is probably why I took you for granted.
Those times will never come back and I wont be able to say these things if we ever met but I will not miss another chance to shutdown my phone and just listen to everything you say or do not say.
P.S. Whenever google or anyone asks me to name my best friend as its security question, I never have to think twice.
